Almost Uncirculated James II Great Britain sterling silver 1 penny coin. Very rare date engraving Mint Error variety with 7 engraved over 8. Die sinker started the 8 in the wrong place and then corrected it by engraving the 7 over the 8. Certified by PCGS to AU 55, Population census: 2 coins, only 2 higher!

Bull English Silver Coinage 814, rated as R2 = Very Rare. James would loose the throne in 1689 during the "GLORIOUS REVOLUTION", with William and Mary as dual monarchs.
